But if you do not want to download these apps in your smartphone, then you can transfer money through WhatsApp payment.
Send money to friends easily through WhatsApp payment
WhatsApp payment is a UPI based feature that you can directly transfer money to another user. One of these apps offers UPI as well as wall based money transfer. At the same time, in another type of app, UPI based payment is made only through the portal of the bank. But in WhatsApp payment, users can only transfer money to other users. To avail WhatsApp payment, it has to be linked to your bank account. Explain that you can send money by scanning WhatsApp UPI code or by entering UPI ID.
How to set up WhatsApp payment
First open WhatsApp on your smartphone.
Now tap on the three dots on the top right corner.
Tap on the payment option.
Now tap on the 'Add Payment Method' option.
It will show a list of supported devices.
Select the bank where you have an account. (Account must be linked to mobile number).
The app will then ask your phone to send a verification message. Tap on the 'Verify via SMS' button.
After verifying, it will show all your accounts in the bank which are linked to your number. Select the app you want to use.
Tap Done and your process to set up your account is complete.

How to send money through WhatsApp Payments
Go to the chat of the person you want to send money to.
Click on the attachment option and then tap on the payment option.
If the contact has WhatsApp payment set up then you will see a screen where you can send money and make a request.
Fill the amount and add a note if you want and then hit Next.
This will take you to a screen where it will ask you to enter your UPI PIN. If you do not have one, it will guide you to create.
Enter your UPI PIN and it will be completed after that.
If you are requesting money, tap on the request and wait for the person to accept your request.
